It goes without saying that social networks play an important role in our life.The aim of the project I am currently working on is to explore what teenagers in Zetland use social networks for. I have found a pie chart with some data on this subject, which I am going to analyze .
As can been seen from the pie chart, the most popular reason of using social networks is listening to music, with 52% of the respondents. By contrast, writing a blog and watching films are the least preferable options among teenagers, being chosen by 4% and 10% respectively.
Further analysis of the pie chart reveals that the figure for chatting with friends (23%) as a reason why teenagers use social networks is 12% higher than the figure for finding new information (11%). It is not surprising as teenagers are not always with friends. Thus, teenagers can escape from loneliness, using social networks .
There are some problems which can arise while teenagers are using social networks. One of them is addiction to the Internet. People spend hours scrolling down the pages deteriorating their eyesight. To solve this problem, teenagers should limit the time spent on the Internet.
In conclusion, I believe that social networks are really important and useful invention. The development of social networks will make life easier for a person.
